DuraCloud's Archive-It back up feature provides additional options for preserving web collections for Archive-It partner organizations, a web archiving service from Internet Archive. Archive-It partners can now seamlessly access DuraCloud's key features for offsite backup and preservation of their web archive collections, in addition to taking advantage of DuraCloud's web-based interface, automated content health checks and reports, as well as other storage provider options including low-cost Amazon Glacier.
How it works
Archive-It partners who decide to subscribe to DuraCloud have the ability to back up all of their Archive-It collections, specific web collections, or exact time periods within individual collections. After signing up for the service, DuraCloud will transfer a copy of content from an Archive-It account and store the web archive files in DuraCloud. The Archive-It account is then monitored for additions to the collection over time and synchronizes those to DuraCloud. The best part of using this new service is that it requires no additional user action. Once the service is enabled, backups to DuraCloud are automatic.
With DuraCloud, pricing is simple. You simply pay annually for the amount of content you will be backing up. Sign up by March 31, 2014 and the content transfer fee will be waived.
Archive-It partners who wish to back up their content in DuraCloud will be charged the following:
|Subscription plan||Annual Price||Features|
$1,500 for 1st TB
$1,000 for additional TBs
|*additional cloud storage providers available upon request|
